Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data WordSeeker (the "App") collects, how it is used, and your rights. WordSeeker is operated by Simon Grenefalk as an individual developer.

1. Data we collect

• Solana wallet public key. When you connect a wallet via the Mobile Wallet Adapter (MWA), the App receives your public key. This is your identifier on WordSeeker.
• Authentication token. A signed nonce flow produces a JWT that is cached on your device only.
• Optional profile info. A username (chosen by you, changeable every 30 days) and an avatar image. The avatar is stored locally on your device only.
• Gameplay data. Daily puzzle attempts, guesses, scores, completion times, quest progress, achievements, in-game inventory and powerup balances.
• On-chain activity. When you purchase Shards or receive prize-pot payouts, the resulting Solana transaction signatures and amounts are stored alongside your wallet record.
• Referral data. If you use a referral code, the referring wallet and your wallet are linked.

We do not collect your email, phone number, real name, IP address, device advertising ID (IDFA / AAID), location, contacts, or browsing history.

2. How we use your data

• To run the daily puzzle, calculate scores, and update the leaderboard.
• To award prizes from the daily prize pot to the on-chain wallets of winners.
• To track quest, achievement, and referral progress.
• To detect and prevent abuse (e.g. duplicate accounts, exploit attempts).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. Public information

The leaderboard displays your wallet address (or chosen username), score, guess count, and elapsed time to all players. Solana transactions for Shard purchases and prize payouts are public on the Solana blockchain by their nature.

4. Third parties

• Solana RPC providers. The App reads on-chain data via public Solana RPC endpoints. RPC providers may log standard request metadata.
• Wallet apps (Phantom, Solflare, etc.). When you connect, sign, or send transactions, your chosen wallet handles the signing. We never receive your private key.
• Solana dApp Store. Distribution and updates run through the dApp Store, which has its own privacy policy.
• Hosting (Fly.io). Our backend runs on Fly.io. Fly may process standard request metadata (IP, user agent) for the duration of a request; we do not retain this server-side.

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, or similar). We do not use crash reporting (Sentry, Crashlytics) or advertising SDKs.

5. Device permissions

• Camera, Photo Library, Microphone (iOS). Used only when you choose to set an avatar image. Selected images stay on your device — we do not upload them to any server.

6. Data retention

Gameplay records are retained for as long as your wallet is active on WordSeeker. The recent run history surfaces up to 50 entries per wallet. On-chain transactions are permanent on the Solana blockchain and cannot be deleted by us.

7. Your rights

You can request deletion of your off-chain account data (gameplay records, profile, referral links) by contacting us — see Section 10. On-chain transactions cannot be deleted. To stop using the service, simply disconnect your wallet and uninstall the App.

8. Children

WordSeeker is not directed at children under 18. Do not use the App if you are under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the App.
